Catering 101
Once the Farmers Market ended last fall we decided to also retire our catering jackets for the season. In fact, it has been a few months since we even last thought of doing another catering job but when our friends Greg and Stephanie asked for some help for their housewarming party we couldn't resist. So we loaded up the van and headed west to feed a guest list of thirty a Sunday lunch.
On the menu:
Fruit Salad w/ a honey-lime yogurt dressing
Watermelon, strawberry, red grape, banana, and mandarin orange tossed in dressing dusted with cinnamon
Grilled Chicken Caesar BLTS
Grilled chicken, housemade caesar dressing, arugula, shaved Parmesan, tomato, avocado, and thick sliced bacon served on ciabatta rolls
Peanut butter cup Brownies and mini Strawberry Short(cup)cakes
Bueteeefull! Even though I was there the pics really are outstanding - did the moving crew's eyes see this feast the way the camera depicts it? I surely hope so.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing such a lovely/profesional job. Go Green and Green.
Maybe you can cater a single lunch to me at Farmer's Market sometime. You have no idea how excited I would be. You should at least come say hi. At any rate, all of your food posts have made my mouth water, you guys are such naturals with making food both look and taste amazing. I envy your culinary craft and hope that I can learn some of it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. We just went to a couple open houses today in SE Portland, upon further deliberation, we think we might like SE a bit better than NE. Are we off our rockers or just ignorant? Who knows, but if you have any more details on the places you found, we'd be interested in checking them out. My email is troth@linfield.edu
