Have a wonderful time in one of the most beautiful parts of Mexico....
Here are my travel tips:
Make sure to eat cochinita pibil (roasted pork wrapped in banana leaves) and visit the markets to buy fresh fruit and dried chiles to enjoy back home.
Swim in a cenote or natural underground pool. There is one outside of Valladolid that is magical and accessible.
I recall downtown Merida on a Sunday being one big party - with streets closed, folk dancing and general happiness.
We shall all be missing your wonderful food!
